Welcome to Beinn an Tuirc Distillers, the home of Kintyre Gin. Tucked away in a beautifully converted former piggery on the historic Torrisdale Castle Estate, our eco-friendly distillery is powered entirely by our very own 99kw hydro-electric scheme.
Whether you are a gin aficionado, a history enthusiast, or just passing through the stunning Kintyre peninsula, we invite you to step inside, see where the magic happens, and enjoy a true taste of Kintyre.
Your experience begins in our tasting room, where you’ll learn about the fascinating history of the Macalister Hall family estate. Sip on a perfect serve of Kintyre Gin & Tonic as we guide you through our journey. Next, we’ll head into the heart of the distillery to meet "Big Don" (our striking copper still) and discover how we sustainably craft our spirits. The tour concludes with a guided tasting of further spirits from our award-winning selection.
- Drivers can opt to take away a 5cl miniature bottle to enjoy at home
- Every tour ticket entitles you to 10% off spirit purchases in our distillery shop
- Tours last approximately 1 hour (interaction is encouraged and we often go 'off-piste'!)
Tickets are priced at £15pp (plus booking fee) - We don't charge for kids but it's helpful if we know they are coming!
